The Run

It was a wonderful & cloudy Tuesday and the run site was at Gasing Bird Park. I was excited because this is my first time as a hare. Some of our members arrived as early as sharp 5.15pm.As I returned to the run site after setting the run , some were already at the Teh Tarik Pandi Restaurant ,Mamak located across the street). There were ambled and plenty of parking spaces at the car park.
Right sharp at 6 pm, ON ON was called by GM, we started our usual in trail and what we saw were trees. Slowly and steadily we walked up and followed papers through and along the trail for almost 15mins up hill cutting-through the Indian Temple and were on papers for almost 25mins . Arrived at 1st check , as usual, front runner were eagerly looking and searching for papers. Immediately, paper found and was a really an unreasonable falsie which took the FRB down into the ravine for more than 100M down.
Off course the check was broken by BR ,ON ON, was called and we continued on papers. Approximately close to 25 minutes trashing, we came to 2nd checked, with in less than 10 minutes, the check was broken and we continued on and the terrain was getting tougher and tougher
In spite of tough terrain, all continued to move on until we arrived at the 3rd check point but this time we were caught again another falsie . FRB ran off without continuing the paper, KC being slowed and nice and as cool as Charles Bronson arrived for once in his life time ,he started to collect the paper at false trail to connect the paper in order to allow other runners not to fall into the trap. What a nice and considerate hasher he was.
The trail was too far out until it led us to the other end of Pantai Baru Apartment site, smart enough for the FRB who were familiar with the trail knew that it was the other way home .Immediately 3rd check was broken but was really a difficult one. Within 15mins of searching we found the paper and the Front Runners like; Ben, Big Mouth Monkey and Yakitiyak started to connect the paper and Wild Boar decided to put the bit and pieces together by switching on his famous Roti man PORN PORN to call everyone together. Finally all caught up and met together and arrived at 4th check point.
It was 7.15pm, paper was found and connected accordingly and giving the SRB another challenging time moving up another hill for 300m non stop. GM with his bloody beer stomach acted tough have no choice but to continue the run .He almost dropped dead and got rescued by KC hero .At mid way up hill, I found myself struggling to climb up as well because I’ve missed my lunch. I met up with my buddies and they motivated me to go on. Then we came to the last check and we managed to break it with in 10mins . ON ON was called to wrap up the RUN and we hit the tar road.
Some were slowly jogging back , and most were walking with a home trail close to 5km and arrived at the Beer Wagon and 1st thing to do for all was to look for water. Overall, it was a challenging run, at least more than 3 long and steep hills and it was the best run I have ever had after a long period of time.1st runner came at 7.50pm and last group out at 8.30 pm
I am looking forward for another more adventures and even more challenging runs in the near future. God knows may be next week!

Circle:
Circle started at 9.00pm, as usual, GM on the box with some announcement and jokes. The run was commented by Prince Charming, Ben and was awarded with 7 points. (Good parking, Delicious chicken rice and Otak Otak cooked by Amanda were served. Run site was well lighted up good hash sign and the best was that The Hare have 4 crates of beer served). The champion for the week on “ice ice baby” was not other than “Kangaroo” because he managed to cross to Thailand using his wife’s Passport.
The next one was “Jimmy – Silent Gorilla” because of his “GOOD” OC for organizing for the Karaoke Session. The Baton was then passed to Roger Low who will be the next OC for next month Karaoke Session.
Overall, most of the members have a wonderful evening and everyone did enjoy themselves. Thanks to the hare “Roger Low” and the rest of the Co Hares. Of course Gold Finger briefed us on how to differentiate between a good Quality Hasher and a Quantity Hasher supported by Kangaroo.
Well everyone was happy and enjoy the night. Thank you to all the Co Hares and all the members that turned out for this special occasions.
