For the 1st time coming to this new run site with quite and safe environment chosen by the hare .It’s always good to try on new run site even though it is little outskirt of KL. Located right beside the school with protective shelter just in case it rains. I guess it was all God ‘s plan for us.
Right at 6 pm , ON ON , off we went up hill with 40% inclination along the tough drainage way as if we were climbing up the Great Wall Of China. Tougher and difficult and very taxing for most if not all and by the time we reached the top , half of our energy was completely gone. But nevertheless most made it and journey continued . Came 1st check , was a back check , FRB were screwed up , turned back and caught up with the rest. It was all new trail no way of short cutting. One could only do was to take a back track . Nothing else.
As we moved on , terrain was getting tougher and rougher , we arrived at 2nd check . Once again , it was a back check , everyone was together and paper was found by the BR . Shouted ON ON , journey continued and moving further into the toughest and roughest trails with very steep hills almost close to 50 % inclination .We were segregated into 3 or more different groups . FRB were way ahead and as the dawn came , paper was difficult to be located and most were moving slowly including the front runners. Arrived at the open-air area along the construction site, paper was scatted around everywhere and we hardly see them. Some suggested left side was the way home others say otherwise.
Arrived at the 3rd check , full of mud at the open area, not able to see any more paper.
Lucky Cock and his Gang were looking high and low for papers but failed . Suddenly ,out of nowhere , smarty Yak found it and off we went and paper was connected for the back runners to follow thru.
But instead of going home , the hare took us for another bloody ride and brought us back to the jungle’s trail to make sure all get home at the shortest way. Indeed he did exactly what was right. The shortest and the safest way homw.
Came the last check and was a straight forward one and immediately paper was found and all the way home trail. The 1st batch out at 7 45 pm and last batch out at 8 30 pm.
Overall it was a damn good run with lots of up and down hills , good sweat out and some nice bashing through new trails ,untouched by Gasing ‘s chapter. We are certain that we will return to this run site again in the near future.
Everyone did enjoy it very much and we covered a distance close to 7-8 km of hard hashing.
Circle :
Started at 9 30 pm later than expected . Closed to 50 people gathered together with some old guests from other chapters. Firstly, GM was the happiest person because of his double joy celebrations. Firstly, as a hare without paying a single cent , mostly all sponsor by most members . Secondly, it was his birthday and his fourth marriage as well . Hilarious and humorous jokes and laughers were created by him for acting silly during the circles which was exactly an expectation from all members. The best joke was run rating conducted by Wildboar giving 10 full pts but deducted 4 pt for the hare not going in to set run and other justified reasons. Never in the history such a rating was given .It was all fun and jokes.
Buzzard took over for putting Yak on iced for no specific reason .This is what hashing is all about. Subsequently, Lord was iced for having Hotleg to sit on his Lap- Top which was against the Gasing Hash Rule Chapter 1 verse 6 of the Gasing Bible.
Announcement for Karoke headed by Silent Gorilla as an OC on 5th Sat at 7 pm in Amada Hotel. All members are advised to participate and it is compulsory ,and specially organize only for all Gasings’ members . Guarantee 100 % fun and jokes as well as to the fullest enjoyment.
Finally, circle ended at 10.45 pm later than expected. GM was overwhelmed with joy not to give up on the box too early because he was a birthday boy.
Off course plenty of chilled beer and food was served on site with sumptuous BBQ Lamb, Porridge , Fruits for all for the rest of the evening. Party ended at midnight and all got home safely. It was really nice of the hare who initially was so frighten because he thought nobody would sponsor anything but it turned out otherwise that he had really made this such a memorable day for all members. He had also taken most of his time and effort off to make such an event.
