The Run:
It was a gloomy evening when most of us arrived at the run site at Bandar
Kinrara. There were so many parking spots you can literally close your eyes
and turn your steering wheel and you’ll be properly parked. As usual, some
hashers were chit chatting, some putting on their socks and tying their show
laces, some crowding the beer man to place their car keys and to get a
bottle of mineral water. The almost too familiar scene.
Anyway, ON ON was called at 6pm sharp by the GM and immediately everyone got
their asses moving. We strolled along the housing area before arriving at
the entrance of the hike. It was an uphill trail until the 1st checked was
placed. Front Runners quickly took the harder path in search of the paper
while a good number of us took a short break. Paper was found towards the
left side of the trail which then continued on an uphill trend. We followed
the On On call until we arrived at the peak of the hill.
From here on, it was mostly a flat trail. Some walked quickly, some jogged
and some just took their own bloody time. It was quite a long straight which
took about 15 – 20 minutes before arriving to a downhill. At this point,
there was a slight drizzer so going downwards was really quite a slippery
affair.
Nevertheless, we made it down hill without breaking any bones before
continuing on another upward climb. As far as I can remember, this next hill
was pretty steep and breathtaking but again, sap sap sui for the Front
Runners who broke the check and disappeared before your very eyes.
After this the trail became quite obvious as we again began to descend. The
sky was getting dark probably due to the rain but all of us managed to get
out without having to use the flashlight. We exited at the housing area a
few blocks from our car park.
The first runner completed the run at about 50 minutes while the last runner came out after 1 hour 20 minutes. All in all, this was a pretty straight forward yet exciting run for all. The
rain definitely helped in creating a more adventurous environment.
Kudos to the Hare and co-Hare.
Circle
GM insisted that circle started as early as possible due to the rain. So, we commenced at about 8.30pm.
Anyway, yummy Nasi Lemak from Hassan was served and everyone ate under the umbrella :)
ON ON.. Jason Lee, in His Majesty’s (Piss Stop) service.
