It was Tuesday again, I was excited about my run being set at this run site , not knowing exactly whether I will be able to set a reasonable run for all or not . As I looked up at the sky , it was covered with dark cloud which I prayed that it will not rain and God did not answered my prayer. Nevertheless sharp at 6 pm , it was Wet! Wet !Wet and in spite of this ON ON called by the GM and closed to 50 people, of we went in trail along the oil palm plantation for about 15 mins of slow walking before hitting the 1st check. It was a back check and paper was found by the BR.

Once again slow and steady ,journey continued for another 15 mins arrived at the 2 nd check . forward check and followed by a falsie . Reversed . paper was found by SR led us into another tough hills along the plantation, no one bothered to take any short cut because everyone wants a good sweat out. Almost close to 1 hr of trashing along the plantation, the most and challenging trail started here, all were diverted into the secondary jungle leading us to Sapu Tangan . It was all new trail for Gasing , none of us has ever been here except some senior hashers who had been here with other chapters. The trail was tough for many due to the fact that it was difficult to go through because of the rain which made it so slippery for up hills and down hills movements. No body seemed to have any clue as to when are we going to be out of the jungle.

BULL-SHIT!

All of a sudden, 100 Plus got himself burned out, ran out of steam and nice of Yak who was with his touch light assisted him all the way . As the trail got tougher and rougher with torn and bushes everywhere ,most got together as groups because of the darkness during this 2 nd part of the year. It was extremely slippery because of the wet conditions prior to coming into the trail .

We were all scatted into 3 or 4 different groups being the 1st group consisted of 14 pupils mainly the FR bastards who led us through all the way. There were sufficient papers lay for the entire journey making it very much easier for even the slowest BR in spite of the darkness.

By the time we got out of the jungle, it was another long way home along the usual oil palm estate approximately close to 2.5 to 3 km home trail. Finally the 1st group arrived at the beer wagon at 8.30 pm and fortunately the last group out at 9. 45 pm. Overall it was a very challenging run and all really had a wonderful sweat out. A word of advise is that please bring along your touch light for all future run for the next couple of months. We had a problem of 14 people sharing 3 touch lights which make it difficult for everyone.

Circle:
Started at 10 pm later than expected due to the long journey set for the run. But nevertheless all really have fun and enjoyed themselves very much .Of course the 1st person on iced was Yak for no specific reason .The hare James was given a new hash name as “JAME BONK” instead of James Bond which he has hoped for . Yak-Yak was iced for uttering an incorrect calling as Where Are You instead of Yew Mo ( In cantonese) while during the run. A couple of new guests disappeared much earlier completely exhausted .It was also brought to our attention ,for future, Hare ,kindly refrain from offering any of your beer to any hashers prior to the run as well as upon arriving of the beer wagon. We have to show respect to the beer man otherwise we ‘re going to run w/o beer man . Please be considered !
Circle ended much earlier within half an hour and food and beers were served on site. Once again it was nice of the hare who has taken his time and effort to make this a very special and successful event. Everyone drove home safely.
