The Run:
It was a lovely Tuesday evening and every one gears up to arrive at the run site earlier than expected in order to beat the traffic in KL
Just as I arrived, there were already few cars parked at the appropriate parking bays designated for the contractors , however we took advantage of that.
Sharp at 6 pm flag off by GM , of we went in trail right at the foot step of the hilly side located at the far end of the other side of Cheras Awana along the residence area..
It was fun for most of us because we were having a hard time climbing up the 15 % inclination slope after a week holidays .Most put on weight, but nevertheless , FRB were too fast for us and once again Stumpy and GM were struggling and have to make 3 stops b4 reaching the top. As usual and expected we arrived at the 1st check, forward check paper was found and journey continued .
Trail was so slippery that even the most experience hasher finds it hard to climb up. Every two steps we took , we bound to slip back for 3 steps. What a fun it was say Under Power. We were all going back and forth like a Yo-Yo.
Just as we reached the top, immediately follow by another down slope ravine which took us almost close to 15 mins to reach the bottom of it. Half way down , suddenly we heard Baby Sugar screaming and yelling for help because at one stretch it was so steep and slippery that she has to sit and slid down wards for 20 ft..
Obviously , the nicest person of the chapter who rescued her was Lambo . As we moved forward, the most challenging part of the terrain was that we have to climb another hill which was about 40 deg inclination. That was a real challenge for the slow runners and the FR as well. It was really tough and it took us close to 25-30 min to reach the top. Of course this time, Left ball, Thongs as well as others FR have to pause for a couple of mins before reaching the top. What a wonderful and marvelous run say Cocky ! At the top came the 2nd check and immediately paper was found by the FR and all the way down hill till we met the home trail. Overall two lovely and challenging hills and a couple of batch thru terrain for entire journey.
The 1st batch out with in an 1 hr and 10 mins and last batch out at 8 pm.
What a great run for all to have an enjoyable evening after the CNY holidays.

Closed to 50 people turned out with a couple of guests and new guest including Roger’s wife. . Kai Si Wong was iced for no valid reason except that he disappeared for 3 weeks w/o informing us where he was. Follow by Yak who saying nothing which was unusual of him.
Reminder for all to attend AGM and CNY compulsory run next week .In absence of the GB , Roger took over the box and have a couple of guys on ice in order to carry out his duty. All members are requested to pay up their sub for 2008 and 1st Q of 2009. A word of thanks to the hare and his co hares who have taken time off to make this a successful evening for all of us. Obviously , beer and lovely food were served at nearby Res at Tmn Connaught. As usual party ended at 12 pm and all drove home safely.
