The Run:
What a lovely day for us to gather here at this run site before the CNY. I personally selected this place because of the familiarity of the place which I have been running for the past 10 years. Being the younger brother of Phang Syed who was even more senior in hashing, I decided not to bother any co hares , therefore to set the run all by myself in spite of going against the Gasing Rule.
Sharp at 6 pm , bloody GM flagged off, usual in trail up slope inclinations of 40 deg with 40-50 pupils. Slow and steady with patience, all moved up as a group. As usual, lines up were our FRB group which took them only 20 mins to reach the top where as the SB took about 35 mins. Along the way, our Stumpy rested for not less than 3 stops, by the time he reached the top, it was time for him to call it quit.
At the top. arrived at 1st check, , followed by a falsie. Paper was found by the back runners and journey continued leading us to the other side of the west end of Penchala Link which was closed to Segambut. Arrived at 2nd check, was a forward check and paper was found by FRB and follow through by the rest of team members.
Moving and running like a road runner all the way through the prostituted area by the FR , we arrived at the 3rd check and immediately followed through by a falsie which screwed them up . Of course ,the whole idea was to slow theses bastards but nevertheless, they managed to catch up with the rest in just a couple of mins later. Just as dust begin to arrive, we came to the 4th check and once again it was a straight forward check . As we proceed to the next destination , wanting to hit on to the home trail, suddenly came another check .Obviously ,it was broken by the FRB and off they went an were out at 7 20 pm and the last batch out at 8 20 pm .What an enjoyable run with lots of fun said the members! Halaluyah !
Circle:
started at 9 pm with close to 40 persons. Special announcements and reminder for all coming to AGM meeting to be held at Gasing Bird Park on the 10th Feb in conjunction with CNY run as well. Damage for members RM 20.00. Silent and Under power were iced for not paying attentions while GM was on box. Lambo was interviewed by Sin Chew pertaining to hashing and positives inputs were taken down by the interviewer. Of course, Chili Padi and Bonsai offer their CNY open house to all members only on 31st Jan at 8.30pm . Kindly do support and have party together . More importantly, rubbish to be cleared by the hare with the support of other members immediately after the party ends otherwise the authority ll take serious action against hashing..Circle ended at 10 pm and delicious food and chilled beers were served on site. It was indeed a lovely and memorable night by the hare who has taken all his precious time to made this a successful event.
