RUN :
Once again we are backed to our home ground where Gasing started 10 years ago. It
has always been very pleasing coming back here because of lovely trails. It was close to 5 pm as I arrived there were more than 15 cars and unfortunately two chapters were running here simultaneously .Sharp at 6 pm , not other GM flagged off ,closed to 50 people, of we went in trail along the usual main road toward some residential houses for about 15 mins of walking and warming up. As we hit the in trail up hill along the bushes , as usual the FR were already far away ahead of us. Steady and strongly we moved steps by steps and as we hit the top ,came the 1st check. Obviously it was a forward check and FR broke it and paper was connected in a very fashionable way. Immediately follow by down hill crossing new and un touch terrain set by the hare. Bashing thru some primary and unexplored less tense jungle led us all the way to the other side of gasing hill ended up on the tar road again. Suddenly paper disappeared ! No check, no falsie and no clue of what was happening at all. FR were f….. and all of us caught by the hare for no specific reason why paper disappeared. We wasted almost 15 mins looking for papers. Paper was then found by the slowest runners, led us back into the trail and connected thru all the way to the kampong area. Arrived at the 2nd check , was a back check and paper was laid and of we went w/o hesitation toward the telecom tower .
By the time we reached the top, most were exhausted except the FR, we were then taken in trail into the jungle again and ended up at the suspension bridge. Instead of going thru the bridge, the hare decided that it was time to get home . The home trail was nothing less than 3 km along the tar road . The 1 st batch was out at 7. 30 and last batch out at 8 15 pm.
Circle:
To our surprise that we were first time being chase away by the other chapter for not having the opportunity to hold our circle at our usual site. Reason was that the other chapter has more prestigious huge cars which occupied more space at the car park than us. Started at 9.0 pm , and with in a couple of mins , heavy rain started and all have to hold on to their umbrellas except some smart guys like Yak and Shit face who brought along with them their raincoats. Yak was iced for not putting the correct run site for shit face who confused everybody. As a result of this, the committee has decided to appoint a new ON SEC for next year. But nevertheless he has promised to carry out the transfer as smoothly as possible to the next available person. In addition to this ,Campari was iced for not collecting the door gifts from the Karoke OC last week which was nothing but just a lovely kissed from chicky Baby Croc. Storm arrived and circle was completely destroyed and dismissed within 40 mins. Even with destruction from the rain storm, the hashers remained behind as strong as an elephant with an immediate serving of food and chilled beers for the rest of the lovely evening by the hare. Once again it was nice of the hare who has taken his time and effort to make this a very special and successful event. Everyone drove home safely.
